Easy and Healing 4 Ingredient Ninja Foodi Chicken Soup

ninja foodi chicken soup with carrots and potatoes in the instant pot or ninja foodi

For the easiest Ninja Foodi chicken soup, we chop up a few carrots and potatoes then add our broth and chicken and dance away. We don’t even bother chopping the chicken into bite-sized pieces because it falls off the bone in the end and it’s more fun to eat the soup that way.

Make this soup once and you’ll never need to look at the recipe again it’s so easy. Our soup is delicious at all times since the flavors of the chicken infuse into the broth and you get all that delicious collagen and healing in every bite. Aun and I both needed an easy meal that was nourishing to our tummies after getting a little ill this past week. This soup nourished our mouths and souls.

This Ninja Foodi chicken soup can also be made in an instant pot and is easily customized. You could add celery for some extra bright times or saute some garlic and onions for extra flavor. We’ve also added dried rosemary or whatever spices we felt like to change the flavor up.

Ingredients for Ninja Foodi Chicken Soup

A Pound of Your Favorite Cut of Chicken – We used thighs with the skin on and bones in. The skin and bones infuse the broth with collagen which has all types of healing in it. The flavor is filled with depth from this and gives that authentic ramen feel of an ancient recipe passed down for centuries.

Carrots and potatoes – You can easily customize this recipe by adding celery or zucchini (at the end or it will overcook). The potatoes and carrots work really well because they’re roots and can take on so much cooking and absorb so much flavor from the liquids. For this Ninja Foodi chicken soup instant pot style stick with a version of roots. If you add non-root veggies then once the pressure cooking time is up, set the soup to sauté and let the veggies cook until tender.

32 OZ Zoup Spicy Bone Broth – Any flavor or broth will work for this recipe. I love that Zoup uses minimal ingredients that maximize flavor, nothing artificial, and is reasonably priced. I often sip on their broth for comfort and it is soul-warming.

Tools You Need to Make This Chicken Soup

The Ninja Foodi or Instant Pot – We use the pressure cooker function which is on either of these devices. We used to have an Instant Pot then switched to the Foodi for the air fryer (they started it) and now we’re never going back.

How to Spice Up Your Chicken Soup

You can either get the Zoup Spicy bone broth or add a pinch of cayenne at the end to really get your body detoxing. I used to not like spice but the more I do Whole30 and my taste buds expand the more my body is all about that spice.

How to Reheat your Chicken Soup in the Ninja Foodi or Instant Pot

Dump all of the soup you want to eat back into the pot insert and set to sauté. After five minutes your soup will be ready to eat again. Aun loves next day soup so much we intentionally save some to eat later.

Instructions for Ninja Foodi Spicy Chicken Soup

This recipe is designed to be as easy as ramen. Dump everything in and walk away. You can cut up the thighs but the chicken falls off the bone so I suggest just popping them in whole.

Chop up two carrots and two red potatoes then add them to the instant pot or Nina Foodi with the chicken thighs and the bottle of broth. Seal the Ninja Foodi or instant pot and pressure cook on High for 15 minutes then let the soup slowly release. Once the red button drops remove the lid, take a deep inhale then enjoy your beautiful soup.

Ingredients

1 Pound Chicken Thighs Skin on Bone-In - *See notes

2 Carrots - chopped

2 Red Potatoes - chopped

1 32 OZ Jar Zoup Spicy Bone Broth or any bone broth - to make spicy add a pinch of cayenne

Parsley for garnish (optional but encouraged)

Instructions

1. Add everything to the Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi. You can chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces but once this soup cooks it will naturally fall off the bone so feel free to add them whole like we did.

2. Seal the pressure lid, make sure the valve is closed, and pressure cook for 15 minutes. Allow the soup to slowly release (wait until the red popper drops) then remove the lid.

3. Add chopped parsley and enjoy your nourishing soup.

Notes

You can use a pound of chicken with any cut you like. The bone-in skin-on thighs add extra flavor and nourishment since they will add collagen to the broth.

Feel free to discard the skins if you don't like to eat them in soup or set them aside to dry then bake them or air fry them for a chicken skin chip.
